CNC Wire Erosion

Here at Adwin Spring we make the most of our in house tooling facilities, using up to date wire eroding and Machining.
We make simple blank tools and form tools for prototypes and low volume parts as well as complex progression tools for high volume parts.
We have two modern wire erosion machines, both featuing Sodick linear motor technology (pictured left). They are supported by our CAD department, which can import or translate most file formats. They are busy making in-house tools and prototype blanks, but we do take in some sub-contract wire eroding.

We have recently purchesed a Sodick K1C Hole drilling machine (shown above to the left), this allows us to put tiny start holes in jobs to be wire eroded as well as the ability to drill through hardened material.
Pictured above centre are just a few examples of wire eroded blanks, some of the applications these have been used on include high performance motorsport including Formula 1.
Pictured above to the right is our other Sodick A325L making us we believe the 1st UK Spring Company to have 2 Wire Erosion Machines.
